FirstOption's placement process is a meticulous one whereby we need all the details about you the candidate to be able to present you to our clients.

Help us help you by following our instructions below.

  • Apply! - The first thing you need to do is Apply through our online application. This application is the most important thing next to your active resume in helping us find you employment. You need to fill out the application with up to date accurate information.
  • Available Jobs - On our job page there is a partial list of jobs that we have available. We do not post every job opportunity because some of our positions are easier to fill than others, which is why it is important to also call available once a week. Anyone who answers can make you available.
  • Getting a Job! - FirstOption might contact you by calling or e-mailing with a specific job opportunity. It is important that you call or e-mail back very quickly as we could fill a position if you take too long. Should you accept a position or interview for a FirstOption Client, it is very important to follow through with your obligations. Failing to do so will jeopardize your integrity and your further ability to work with us.
  • Who Pays? - The Client companies pay for our service not the applicant. FirstOption does not charge the applicant. If your position is a Direct Hire then you will be paid by the client company and not FirstOption.
  • When Do I Get Paid? - FirstOption is one week in arrears, meaning that you will not get a check the first week however you will receive one every week thereafter as long as you work every week. FirstOption pays all temporary employees every Friday. Checks are available all day on Friday starting at 8am -5pm.
  • When Can the Client Hire Me? - Clients have the ability to hire a temporary employee after the employee has completed 520 regular working hours. This equates to around 13 weeks or 90 days depending on how many hours a week you have worked.
  • W-2s - All W-2s are processed and sent out by the Federal deadline of January 31st of each year.
